Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that exists to assist families suffering an early infant loss. These services are available for infant loss as early as 25 weeks gestation or at the discretion of medical personnel. Parents of critically ill or stillborn babies contact NILMDTS, who then provide them with beautiful heirloom portraits of their children.
Our Mission To introduce bereavement photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby and to help them in their healing journey. NILMDTS also educates photographers to supply them valuable services to families facing the untimely death of a child.
Our Goal To provide parents experiencing an early infant loss with the gift of portraiture and DVD recordings. To create sensative images that will last a lifetime, rather than memories that will fade over time. We believe the beautiful images of their precious babies serve as an important step in the healing process.
What We Provide At the families request, a NILMDTS-affiliated photographer will come to your hospital or Hospice location and conduct a sensitive portrait session. Parents are provided with an archival DVD or CD that can be used to print portraits of their cherished baby. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and there are no fees for this service.

Honored to be selected as the January 2012 Volunteer of the Month. My affiliation with this group is not about recognition, it is about giving back and I am deeply touched with this honor.
