| Help Portrait is a movement of photographers who are using their time, equipment and expertise to give back to those who are less fortunate for the holiday season. On December 12, 2009 - The Denver Group organized by Katherine Payne and a core group of 66+ individuals gathered to be part of this awesome project at the St. Francis Center in Denver. The St. Francis Center is a center for the Homeless of Denver. They serve 500-700 homeless men and women each day. The Denver Group of Help-Portraits gave professional hair cuts and makeup before their portrait was captured by one of our many photographers. Once the images were captured, the team of editors finished the images where they were printed in a 5X7 finished print and given to the individual. We also had other services which the Denver Group provided including treats, food and donation of socks to the shelter. This year December 2010, the group will again get together to make a difference with the Help-Portrait program.
We were featured on CNN, along with the Project Founder, Jeremy Cowart, the local news, Channels 9, 7 and 4 and have also received a very heart warming thanks from the St. Francis Center.

The Denver Group will be meeting soon to start the 2010 ball rolling. What an awesome day we experienced and we are all excited to do it again.
